Eagles vs Titans Live

Get Mariota in rhythm early. Mariota came off the bench for the first time since high school to lead the Titans to the win over the Jaguars last Sunday. Mariota had a good week of practice. He continues to improve each day from the elbow injury that he suffered in the season opener vs. the Miami Dolphins. The key for offensive coordinator Matt LaFleur on Sunday is give Mariota the opportunity to get in a rhythm early against the Eagles. Whether that’s some quick and easy access throws or starting the game in the hurry up. The LaFleur vs. Schwartz chess match will be one to watch on Sunday.

Get the running game unleashed. Derrick Henry and Dion Lewis needs to have good games on the ground for the Titans to have a chance against the Eagles. Henry was not happy with his effort vs. the Jaguars maintaining his performance was ‘trash play”.

Don’t be surprised if the Titans let Henry run some Wildcat against the Eagles. Henry looked good doing it vs. the Texans in Week 2. Going into Sunday’s matchup, the game sure seems like the perfect one for Dion Lewis. The Eagles enter with the No. 1 ranked defense against the run. The Titans will get a big boost with the return of right tackle Jack Conklin. It will mark his first action since suffering an ACL injury in the divisional playoff loss to the New England Patriots on January 13th. Look for Lewis to be heavily involved in the passing game for the Titans.

Wide receivers must step up. With the release of veteran Rishard Matthews on Thursday, the Titans are extremely young at the wide receiver position. That means it’s time for the young unit to step unit. All eyes will be on Corey Davis on Sunday. He’s had a couple of nice third down receptions in back to back weeks. He also had a nice stiff arm in a big third down reception vs. the Texans in Week 2. Davis is due for a break out game. Why not Sunday against the Eagles?

Get pressure on Wentz. Wentz was solid in his first action of the 2018 regular season in leading the Eagles to the win over the Colts. In that game, Wentz threw for 255 yards with a touchdown passing. He made a couple of off schedule throws which he’s become known for in his short time in the league. Look for the Titans to play some stunts upfront to try and confuse Wentz. Defensive coordinator Dean Pees will have to be creative with the pass rush. Look for him to send safety Kenny Vaccaro and cornerback Logan Ryan on timed blitzes on Sunday.

Win the third phase in special teams. Minus the kickoff return by the Miami Dolphins in the season opener, the Titans have won the battle of special teams in each of their two wins over the Houston Texans and Jacksonville Jaguars. It’s paramount the Titans continue that trend on Sunday to have a chance of beating the Eagles. The Titans do enter Sunday’s game with some good news as veteran returner Darren Sproles is out for the Eagles. Look for Adoree’ Jackson to return to his role as punt returner.

Sunday’s matchup promises to be one of the better games on the day. Kickoff is set for 12 PM Central from Nissan Stadium. The game between the Minnesota Vikings and Los Angeles Rams was a slugfest in its own right between the two teams on the field, but the jabs were thrown in the stands too. TMZ Sports posted a video of one of the wildest fan fights that people have seen so far in the young NFL season.

A handful of fans were involved in an altercation at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on Thursday night that saw a female fan get smacked in the face and a man get flung over four rows of seats. Punches were also thrown and beer is seen being flown around. The man who was hurled over the seats appears very fortunate to have not been more injured than he was.
